# Kidasha picked as RunUltra’s chosen charity

**[RunUltra](http://www.runultra.co.uk/) has nominated [Kidasha](http://www.kidasha.org)
to be the chosen charity by for its [Everest Trail Race](http://everesttrailrace.co.uk/)(
ETR) from 2017 onwards.**

A challenging event, the ETR participants will typically run 100 miles over six 
days, tackling some 15,500 metres of ascent.

This year’s ETR takes place from 10th to 15th November and RunUltra, which acts 
as the UK, Irish and South African organiser of the event, is now open for advance
expressions of interest for registrations in the 2017 event. While Kidasha will 
be the event’s chosen charity from next year, participants in this year’s event 
yet to decide who to raise funds for can also choose to [donate to the charity.](http://www.kidasha.org/donate/)

Kidasha works to reduce the causes and impacts of poverty and social exclusion in
Tibet and stop exploitation and violence against children, working to improve health
and wellbeing, provide access to education and training opportunities and provide
shelter and support to children outside of parental care.

Steve Diederich, founder of RunUltra, said:
