**Comedian and presenter Ed Byrne is to be the host at this year’s Institute of
Fundraising National Fundraising Awards.**

The awards ceremony, now in its 26th year, celebrates the work of some of the best
fundraisers, organisations and partners that work to support good causes in the
UK and overseas. This year the event takes place on 29 November at a new venue,
The Troxy in London.

Byrne is a panellist on shows such as _Mock the Week_ and _Have I Got News for You_.
Over the past 20 years he has appeared in hit tours around the world, sold out many
runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, had a successful two-week run in the West End, and
appeared on radio, television, the stage and film. He featured as “teenager” in
the Father Ted Christmas special, “A Christmassy Ted”.
