**Here is another in our occasional round-ups of tweets for fundraisers. They can
be good examples, inspiring quotations, useful tips, or plain quirky posts.**

## 1. Think local

Cancer Research UK is using a 45 second video posted on social channels to give
practical tips to help its supporters collecting cash in their area. That’s so much
better than an A4 download of tips: show, don’t tell.

> Want to raise buckets of ££ to help beat cancer sooner? These tips cover all you
> need to know about collecting in your local area! [pic.twitter.com/C3KeTvODDw](https://t.co/C3KeTvODDw)

## 2. SEO rules

Social sharing matters, but so too does being found on Google.

> Amazingly simple, effective advice for content creation & curation from Catherine
> at [@CitizensAdvice](https://twitter.com/CitizensAdvice?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) [#CharityDigital](https://twitter.com/hashtag/CharityDigital?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

## 3. Mobile, mobile, mobile

> Move over desktop, mobile search is on the rise. Check out our new data on this

## 4. Buttons undone?

The generic ‘donate now’ button is truly part of the navigation menu of a site and
easy to ignore. By all means test it, but relevant calls to action are much more
likely to be effective.

## 5. More #FiverGiver

The entry into circulation of the [Royal Bank of Scotland’s first polymer-based £5 note](https://fundraising.co.uk/2016/10/31/first-rbs-scottish-polymer-5-extends-fivergiver-campaign/)
has given the [#fivergiver](https://fundraising.co.uk/2016/09/27/firstfiver-charities-responded-simple-fundraising-idea/)
campaign, the idea of UK Fundraising blogger John Thompson, another lease of life.
