**A fibreglass pig statue designed to look like singer Ed Sheeran has sold at auction
for £6,200 for St Elizabeth’s Hospice in Ipswich.**

The statue, titled ‘Ed Sheer-Ham’, and designed by Martin J Wall, was one of 39
that were displayed in a public art trail in the Suffolk town. The singer supported
the campaign and said he would sign the pig for the highest bidder.

The [Pigs Gone Wild](http://www.pigsgonewild.co.uk/) trail concluded with a charity
auction. Ed Sheer-Ham did well, but the most valuable was Ipswich Blue which sold
for £6,500.
