# Small Charity Week sees over 2,000 charities take part - Link: https://fundraising.co.uk/2016/07/04/small-charity-week-sees-2000-charities-take-part/ - Published: 2016-07-04T09:30:11+01:00 - Author: Melanie May **2,051 small charities participated in the events during this year’s [Small Charity Week](http://www.smallcharityweek.com), which took place between 13th and 18th June.**   1,791 people pledged their support during I Love Small Charities Day, which took place on 13th June, with 1,478 individuals submitting photos and reaching over one million through a Thunderclap, causing Small Charity Week to trend on Twitter for seven hours. ## Advertisement   The digital campaign #Ilovesmallcharities called upon fans of small charities to post photos to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with messages of support in exchange for up to £450 in cash prizes.
