**Fundraising consultancy John Grain Associates (JGA) is exploring how charities
thank their supporters and is inviting fundraisers to take part in their survey.**

The company believes that this is the first survey into this element of supporter
care in the UK. Everyone who takes part will receive a free report of the key findings
in August.

The survey covers areas such as:

 * thanking permissions
 * types of thank yous
 * thanking channels
 * content
 * speed
 * signatories

JGA hopes that it will “provide some insights into how much time, effort, resources
and planning charities put into their thank you communications”. The company undertakes
to keep all responses confidential. Furthermore, “all findings in the report will
be anonymised to protect individuals and the charities they work for”.

The [thank you survey](https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/9G6VPQP) is open now and
closes on **29 July 2016**.
