**Children’s charity Sweetpea Charity has appointed Rachel Hunnybun as Development
Director to focus on a new fundraising consultancy arm to grow income.**

Hunnybun will work with Di Flatt, Chief Executive, to develop a new income generation

> “Through Greenhouse Fundraising we will support projects and small to medium charities
> and non-profits to build their sustainability and deliver great fundraising. We
> will be providing consultancy and training across a broad spectrum of areas, and
> for some, Greenhouse Fundraising will become their external fundraising team.
> Fundraising support is already being offered to a number of Sweetpea Charity funded
> projects as part of their funding and all profits from Greenhouse Fundraising
> will go directly back into the charity”.

Hunnybun brings over 16 years’ experience in direct marketing and strategic business
development in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors to the role. She has
particular expertise in individual giving, supporter experience, and driving change.

She put her new role into the context of challenges faced by the fundraising sector.
Described this year as an “exciting time”, she said:

> “With imminent changes facing the sector in the coming months and years it’s going
> to be a very challenging time for some organisations. The idea of bringing additional
> support to the sector whilst also generating a new income stream for the fantastic
> work that Sweetpea Charity supports is a really wonderful opportunity.”
