Racing Welfare, The Jockey Club’s charity for people in need in the horseracing industry, has selected Harlequin CRM to be a central resource for its new fundraising team. Jo Morgan, Fundraising Events Manager at Racing Welfare tells us more.
Why did you need a new fundraising system?
Fundraising was shoehorned into our bespoke service delivery software – which wasn’t ideal – and data was spilling into spreadsheets. Our new team have used fundraising software in previous roles so we embarked on a project to select a new system.
How will you use the system?
The charity has purchased the standard CRM system from Harlequin along with the events module, meeting our specification for a fundraising and communications database with relationship management, trusts and foundations, event management, marketing and reporting.
How will the system benefit fundraising?
The team recognise that managing supporter relationships effectively is key to increasing fundraising income and that being able to report on campaigns accurately and use data, facts and figures will provide transparent insights for our stakeholders.
