The National Funding Scheme, the charity behind DONATE, the online giving platform
for arts and cultural organisations, is marking Giving Tuesday by announcing a competition.

The charity that raises the most via the DONATE platform between 18 November and
2 December, [Giving Tuesday](http://www.givingtuesday.org.uk), will have all fees
charged on donations during that two-week period waived.

Giving Tuesday takes place on the first Tuesday of December, and is being promoted
in the UK for the first time this year. The hundreds of organisations that are supporting
it are using it as an opportunity to promote the idea of doing one good thing on
the day for a charitable cause. That could be donating money, time or some other
service.
