# Royal Navy chilli sauce to raise funds for naval charity

Food manufacturer and importer Thousand Hills has produced a range of chilli sauces
which are being sold to raise funds for The Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.

The Royal Navy Chilli Sauce range was created following a chance conversation between
a Warrant Officer 1 Royal Navy and a Warrant Officer 1 Royal Marine on the deck 
of the HMS Excellent.

Royal Navy Chilli range, raising funds for the The Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.

There are four chutney varieties, a compote and a BBQ chilli sauce, with names such
as Flight Deck, Nozzer, Redders, and Harry Redders. Each recipe is “individually
approved by a panel of Her Majesty’s finest sailors” says the company.

The range was launched last month and over 2,000 units have already been sold. Online
ordering is available.

[Thousand Hills](http://www.thousandhills.co.uk/) is named after the traditional
name for Rwanda, from where their chilli sauce recipes originate.
