# Computer Aid wins Royal Warrant for computer recycling

Computer Aid International has been awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her
Majesty the Queen for the provision of computer recycling services. This is the 
first time that a UK charity has received a Royal Warrant for services.

Consequently, Computer Aid is now allowed to use the Royal arms on all its marketing
and communications materials.

Keith Sonnet, Chief Executive at Computer Aid, said:

Computer Aid International’s Royal Warrant.

Formed in 1998, Computer Aid aims to alleviate poverty and overcome discrimination
through the use of information and communications technology in development. In 
so doing it aims also to bridge the digital divide between rich and poor people.

So far is has provided nearly 250,000 PCs and laptops to people in over 100 countries.
PC donors in the UK include Betfair, Buckingham Palace, Virgin, Investec, Pepsico,
DFID, British Airways, Sainsbury’s and the WWF.
