Lottery fundraising company The Weather Lottery plc has now raised over £5 million
for good causes. Established in 1998, the company’s lottery is based on players
guessing the temperatures in Fahrenheit of selected destinations around Europe.

Run by Chief Operating Officer Kevin Dale, it donates 55% of each pound that it
makes in profit. So far it has donated £5,011,100 to almost 1,000 charities, such
as Age UK, Gloucester Rugby, The Liberal Democrat Party, the National Childbirth
Trust, and York City Football Club.

It costs £1 to play and offers  top prize of £25,000. If there are multiple winners
they do not have to split the jackpot.
