# What’s that Sooty? You’re supporting Meningitis Awareness Week?

Puppets Sooty and Sweep are supporting this year's Meningitis Awareness Week, which
starts today. Cadells Ltd, the owners of the original puppets and brand, agreed 
to allow their images to be used for this campaign by the Meningitis Research Foundation.

The [Meningitis Awareness Week](http://www.meningitis.org), which runs from 16-22
September, encourages everyone to learn to recognise the symptoms.

The Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) funds research into the prevention, detection
and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia and supports those affected by the diseases.
