# Sightsavers appoints Tobin Aldrich as global fundraising director

Tobin Aldrich has been appointed as Director of Global Fundraising at international
development organisation Sightsavers. He will take up the position in November 2013,
with responsibility for leading Sightsavers' fundraising strategy in the UK and 
internationally. 

 He joins from WWF-UK where he has worked as Executive Director of Communications
and Fundraising for the past five years. He has worked before for the charity, as
Head of Direct Marketing from 1998-2000.

  

 Aldrich said: “I am looking forward to returning to [Sightsavers](http://www.sightsavers.org),
which has one of the most powerful and compelling cases for support in the charity
sector. The organisation has ambitious goals over the next few years and I will 
be working to secure a significant growth in fundraising performance to achieve 
them.”
