FoodShareFilter lets you fundraise with your Instagram food photos
The stream of photos of people’s restaurant meals or food creations at home is unending. At last, we now have a way to make something more useful out of these images, courtesy of FoodShareFilter.
This app, available on IoS and Android, offers “the first supportive Instagram filter”. Created by DDB Spain, it raises money for an agricultural project in El Salvador run by the Manos Unidas charity. The income from each download is donated to the charity.
In addition it helps raise awareness. Users who share photos of their food using the app can add the hashtag “#FoodShareFilter” together with the message “This picture helps millions of people not to suffer hunger”.
