The Irish Charity Tax Reform Group (ICTR) has launched ‘The Good Form’ campaign,
a project to improve the tax-effectiveness of donations. A direct mail pack, which
charities can use for their taxback mailings to €250+ donors, is now available to
charities who join the campaign.

The Good Form will run initially through direct marketing from March 2013 when most
charities send their main tax mailings. A creative agency has  devised the direct
mail pack which charities can use for tax mailings by personalising it with their
logo, photos, and signature.

ICTR say charities are missing out on about €15 million per year in unclaimed taxback.
The recently announced simplifications of the scheme only affect donations from
2013 onwards and charities still have to collect CHY 2 forms for each past donation
year up to and including 2012.

ICTR hope that charities coming together using the common brand  of The Good Form
will raise awareness of the benefits of taxback and the simple need to complete
and return the forms.

Charities wishing to join the campaign have to sign up with ICTR and pay a sliding
scale of contributions that allow access to creative materials.
