# New Sales and Marketing Director appointed at YHA

**YHA (England and Wales) has appointed Joe Lynch to the position of Sales and Marketing
Director. He joins from tour operator TUI Travel, where he was Marketing Director
of a number of brands within the company’s Educational Travel Division.**

He has a background of senior sales and marketing positions in the tourism and leisure
industries both nationally and internationally.

At the YHA he will be responsible for raising the profile of the brand and its range
of accommodation, which includes Youth Hostels, camping barns, bunk houses and camping
pods.

Caroline White, YHA Chief Executive commented: "Joe will also be responsible for
attracting more young people to YHA; encouraging them to experience YHA either as
first time users, members or as part of a group. With his track record in educational
travel, school groups using YHA and its schools offering will be a key area of focus
for him."
