**Japanese-inspired restaurant Wagamama has embarked on its first charity partnership.
The company hopes to raise £20,000 for national youth charity UK Youth by 25 December.**

A new section on the restaurant chain’s website promotes the joint ‘[Be different, be kind](http://www.wagamama.com/giving)‘
campaign. It gives people the chance to nominate friends, family or someone in their
local community who has been selfless and earn them recognition for their good deeds.
Wagamama will make a donation for each nomination during December. Early next year
the ‘kindest’ person will be chosen and they will receive £5,000 as a reward.

The campaign, which is being promoted in Wagamam’s 85 restaurants in the UK, also
encourages people to donate to UK Youth online and get involved via an inspirational‘
kindness gallery’.
Additionally, for every Facebook ‘like’ received on the Wagamama
page by the end of 2012 the company will make a donation towards the goal of £20,000.

Charlotte Hill, Chief Executive of UK Youth, said: “We’re really excited about working
with Wagamama. They clearly share our passion for supporting young people and this
is a really innovative way of raising our profile and generating funds for our work”.
