The 2013 GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT Awards are now open for applications. These awards
provide funding and leadership training for health charities.

They are given to reward charities that are “doing excellent work to improve people’s
health”. To be eligible organisations must be at least three years old, working
in a health-related field in the UK, and have an annual income between £10,000 and
£1.5 million.

Up to 20 awards will be made ranging from £3,000 to £40,000 plus free training valued
at £4,000. This year’s winners received training covering leadership skills, strategic
planning, health policy and commissioning, evaluation, financial management and
governance, human resource management, using new media, presentation skills, collaborations
