# Morrisons to raise £1 million for its charity of the year

Supermarket Morrisons has chosen Help the Hospices, the charity that supports hospice
care throughout the UK, as its charity of the year. The 10-month partnership aims
to raise £1 million.

More than 400 Morrisons stores are taking part in a ‘go yellow’ campaign to raise
vital funds through a range of yellow-themed fundraising activities for employees
and customers.

Every Morrisons store is twinned with its nearest hospice so that all the money 
raised by the store will directly fund hospice services in the local community.

Angus Maciver, Group Marketing and Communications Director at [Morrisons](http://www.morrisons.co.uk),
said:
