# Interview with Larry Johnston of McConkey-Johnston International

Here in Colchester, Essex, you don’t often get to meet too many internationally 
renowned fundraising consultants, authors and speakers. So I jumped at the chance
yesterday to meet up with Larry Johnston, President of fundraising consultancy [McConkey-Johnston International](http://www.mcconkey-johnston.com),
on his visit to the UK to meet his UK colleague [Redina Kolaneci](https://www.fundraising.co.uk/blogs/redina-kolaneci).

 

Larry has nearly 40 years experience in the fundraising industry, although we agreed
no-one would have recognised such a description back in 1970.
