During 2009, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) will be reviewing
the information supplied to it by charities and how the OSCR uses this information.
The aim of Integrated Reporting Project is to develop the reporting requirements
so that these are more integrated, as well as ensuring the information that is gathered
is of interest and relevance to charities and to the general public. The OSCR is
keen to understand the views of stakeholders, so take part if you want to influence
the outcome, because the OSCR wants to hear from the public about the information
they would find useful from the Register.

The Integrated Reporting project will review four key areas:

Monitoring

The Register

The Rolling Review process

Future IT capability

I am particularly interested in the section on The Register. I want to be able to
get the name of the correspondent, and trustees from the OSCR website. I also want
to be able to obtain a copy of the latest accounts, and a copy of the charity’s
constitution. It would make researching trusts registered in Scotland a whole lot
easier. If you want to see that kind of register, then let the OSCR know. If you
would like the OSCR to note your interest in taking part in the consultation process,
then e-mail in**@******rg.uk with Integrated Reporting in the title.
