and now Emily’s family are urging anyone who shops online to use the site to help
them raise funds.

Shoppers will generate a free donation to the Foundation of up to 15% from every
purchase they make simply by using the easyfundraising site to shop with over 500
well known retailers.

Retailers include M&S, Amazon, NEXT, Boots, eBay, Dell, Woolworths, Direct Line,
Screwfix, Interflora, Staples, Expedia and many more.

Purchases won’t cost the shopper a penny more with easyfundraising but a percentage
of each spend will be passed back to The Emily Jordan Foundation, making it a simple
yet effective way to raise money.

Sister Lucy explained how using the site will benefit the foundation. “This is a
very easy way for anyone who shops online to help us,” she said.

“So many of us shop online these days and just by using the easyfundraising website,
people can help us raise the funds we need to set up and run the foundation. For
example, if you spend £50 with Amazon, you’ll generate a free donation of £1.25
of the Foundation. Insure your car with Direct Line and you’ll raise £35, at absolutely
no additional cost to you.”

The aims of the Foundation are to create a small holding with workshop space to
allow individuals with learning difficulties to grow produce and keep animals.

Lucy continued, “Emily was always involved in helping for young adults with learning
difficulties, it was something very close to her heart. We really want to raise
as much as possible so we can use the Foundation not only to help these young people
but also to create a lasting legacy to her. “

Supporters can raise even more when they search the web as easyfundraising also
features an innovative charity search engine. By searching the web just 10 times
per day with

surfers can raise around £20 each per year for The Emily Jordan Foundation at no
cost to themselves.

**Notes to Editors**

* www.easyfundraising.org.uk is a completely free service and provides charities
and good causes around the UK with a constant source of valuable fundraising income.
Non profit organisations can register to use the site, including schools and nurseries,
sports clubs, youth groups such as brownies and scouts, churches and individuals
undertaking sponsored events and challenges.

* www.easyfundraising.org.uk has generated more than £350,000 for good causes around
the UK since it launched in October 2006.

* The primary aim of the Foundation is to raise sufficient funding to be able to
lease or purchase a small-holding with workshops, that will allow individuals with
learning difficulties:

1. To be able to grow produce to a high quality standard. Also animals can be kept
for food, and hens to produce free range eggs, etc. This produce will be consumed
and sold.

2. Within the workshops to get involved in a variety of projects suitable for these
individuals. This may be a similar model to Spokes CIC (Community Interest Company),
but also other recycling schemes and engineering projects will be considered.

3. Develop a computer department, where these young adults can learn skills involved
in running a company. Many of these individuals are very good on computers – they
just need the opportunity to be able to develop these skills further. Eventually
this resource may be utilised within other businesses.

4. Look to develop the site to offer residential facilities, for both a respite
or long term basis.
