**Shepherd Construction has donated 180 old mobile phones collected from its company
headquarters in York and donated them to children’s charity ChildLine. Once recycled,
the phones will be worth £1,800 to the charity.**

The company has also raised an extra £340 so far for [ChildLine](http://www.childline.org.uk)
by donating £1 for every Employee Satisfaction survey that has been returned by
staff to the head office.

Vaughan Burnand, Shepherd Construction’s chief executive said: “Recycling old mobile
phones is a simple, yet effective way for companies to help charities, and therefore
it made sense to turn ours into a useful fundraiser for the charity.”
