A previous failure in business can be a very good experience in building a new,
more successful business. But how can social entrepreneurs be supported through
failure to ensure they go on to build a better business next time round?

In collaboration with UnLtd, the charity that supports social entrepreneurs, the
Open University is offering a CASE research studentship on this issue. The studentship
will focus on the question: how can new social entrepreneurs whose projects are
at risk best be supported through the experience of project ‘failure’ in ways that
maximise learning?

The studentship is offered at £14,900 per annum and starts on 1 October 2008.
