LandAid, the charity representing the UK property industry, has donated £25,000
to the Marylebone Project, the largest centre in the UK dedicated to meeting the
needs of homeless women.

The donation was presented on behalf of LandAid by Rob Bould, trustee of the charity
and chairman of GVA Grimley’s Capital Markets Group, to Archbishop Desmond Tutu,
President of the Marylebone Project.

Each year LandAid makes grants or donations to charities or organisations, usually
connected with homelessness, that require help with a particular service or project
they otherwise would not be able to fund.

Its support is divided into two main categories: smaller grants made once a year
to projects that require support for a service or facility that would not otherwise
get off the ground, and a major project, currently in partnership with Centrepoint,
called “Foundations for Life” – a national initiative to provide life skills and
real employment opportunities for young homeless people that will enable them to
escape the cycle of dependency.
