**London Councils is seeking applications from voluntary groups in London to provide
services to tackle the impact of child poverty in the capital.**

Over the next four years it is offering £1.6 million grant funding for groups which
can help tackle issues highlighted by The London Child Poverty Commission, including
breaking the multiple barriers to escaping poverty and tackling the impact that
poverty has on families.

London Councils intends to fund one or two organisations to deliver services in
this area, especially those helping people living in social housing in areas of
high unemployment and poverty.
