**Finalists of Capgemini’s National Golf Competition will be following in the footsteps
of Europe’s Ryder Cup heroes at The Belfry this summer.**

The Brabazon course awaits the participants of the competition, and sponsorship
packages are still available.

The competition is in aid of The Prince’s Trust and is the brainchild of a group
of young Telford-based Capgemini trainees who are taking part in a Prince’s Trust
Enterprise Project. Money raised will be used to improve the lives of disadvantaged
young people in Shropshire and the West Midlands through The Prince’s Trust, a charity
long supported by Capgemini.

“Whilst not the first ever Golf competition for the IT industry, it’s the first
time any of its organisers have been anywhere near a golf course,” explains joint-
organiser Richard Cartwright. “We’re really pleased to be able to combine our sponsors’
love of golf with healthy competition to raise money for The Prince’s Trust. We
are delighted to be able to make a positive contribution to disadvantaged young
people in our community.”

“We are finding our way through the industry – golf and IT – and have already been
boosted by the participation of corporate teams from the likes of BT, 2BM, Logica
CMG, Strategic Resource Group, Fujitsu Siemens, Xerox, EMC, THUS, Pega, Intel, Mitel
and DHL.”

David Littlewood, Head of Commercial Development at The Princes Trust said:

“It’s fantastic that so many organisations are coming together for this major event
that will enable the Capgemini Enterprise Project teams to promote The Prince’s
Trust and raise funds to help local young people move into work, education or training.”

The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Projects challenge employees to plan, promote and
implement a project that raises funds to help young people get their lives working.
Capgemini is the first company to have teams taking part in the West Midlands.
