# Carluccio's raises over £67,000 for Action Against Hunger

**Italian caffe restaurant and foodshop Carluccio’s has raised £67,033.90 for Action
Against Hunger from an auction and from sales of the company’s most popular dish,
penne giardiniera.**

The auction took place at the launch party for [Carluccio’s](http://www.carluccios.com)
flagship caffè, deli and food shop on Garrick Street, Covent Garden in September.

The balance of £49,000 was generated by the donation of 50p from each sale of penne
giardiniera, Carluccio’s most popular dish since the start of the charity’s Restaurant
