The venue for the European Association for Planning Giving (EAPG) roundtable on
6th December on the new charity legislation has been confirmed. The event will take
place at the offices of law firm Matheson Ormsby Prentice at 70 Sir John Rogerson’s
Quay, Dublin 2.

The new charity legislation will have an impact on all organisations that raise
funds or carry out charitable activities in the Republic of Ireland. Awareness and
compliance will be important for all charitable bodies so that the new legislation
will help charities in their work.

The roundtable on 6 December will include an overview of the Charities Bill which
has recently passed Second Stage in the Dáil and is now proceeding to Committee
Stage. Special guests will be Gerry Kearney, Secretary General, and Joe Hamill,
Assistant Secretary General
