Charity analysis service Intelligent Giving will be presenting at the first full
meeting of the Institute of Fundraising’s PR in Fundraising Special Interest Group
on 15 November.
Intelligent Giving has acquired a reputation for its independent
analysis and often vocal criticism of some charities and fundraising practices.
Styling itself “the independent site for the smarter giver” it has published press
releases and comments on its blog about what it feels is inefficiency, ineffectiveness
or malpractice by fundraising charities.

Its high profile and independent take on the charity sector make it a good candidate
to address the inaugural PR in Fundraising special interest group meeting.

The event begins at 3.30 with Intelligent Giving talking for about 40 minutes on
their activities and why they feel that PR is their best weapon in influencing charity
fundraisers. Group founder and Chair Ian MacQuillin will then invite what he expects
to be a lively debate, to be followed by a drinks reception.

The event takes place at the Britannia Street Conference Centre at 27 Britannia
Street, London WC1X 9JP (near to Kings Cross station).

The event has been sponsored by Donor Strategy, Fundraising Initiatives, and TurnerPR.
It costs £10 for members of the Institute of Fundraising and £20 for non-members.
The venue holds a maximum of 50 people.

To book a place email the membership secretary [Louise Hamilton](https://www.fundraising.co.uk/mailto:lo*************@***********gy.com?cc=),
with a copy to treasurer Kevin Kibble at kk*****@****td.com.

Cheques should be made payable to Institute of Fundraising and should be sent to
Kevin Kibble at 57 Listria Park, London N16 5SW. If you would prefer to be invoiced,
please request this option.
