Presentations on the day will be from organisations including Maggies, National
Galleries Scotland, The University of Edinburgh, Sense Scotland, Methodist Homes
for the Aged and National Trust for Scotland.

Kirsty Thomson, Head of Events at the Institute of Fundraising, says:

Major Gift fundraising is an effective means by which charities can increase their
revenue. This event will provide fundraisers with the confidence to engage with
major donors by providing information and advice on the fundraising technique. Our
interactive training session on ‘making the ask’ will make the major gifts fundraising
process less daunting for those who work to increase their charity’s income in this
way.”

The Institute of Fundraising’s one-day conferences provide an opportunity for delegates
to explore a particular fundraising technique or issue in detail.
