**New Philanthropy Capital, which recently announced it is advising donors on £1
million of gifts per month, has published its latest report for donors, focusing
on charities that provide mentoring services.**

New Philanthropy Capital’s latest report, “Lean on me”, explains to donors how to
spot a good mentoring programme and explores which approaches work well and which
don’t.

Nigel Harris, Chief Executive at New Philanthropy Capital, said: “Because mentoring
is costly and poorly run schemes can end up doing more harm than good, we have highlighted
for donors some charities that they can be confident in supporting.”
