Retailer Argos has chosen Leukaemia Research and Barretstown as the company’s next
charity partners, taking over from its current partners Help the Hospices and the
Irish Hospice Foundation. The new partnership will begin in July.
The partnership
will run under the campaign theme of “Saving and improving lives together”, with
funds raised in the UK being donated to Leukaemia Research, and Argos’ 31 stores
in the Republic of Ireland fundraising for Barretstown, a castle in Co. Kildare
where children with cancer and serious blood diseases regain their confidence and
self-esteem through residential activity programmes.
