Professional Fundraising has published this year’s list of the 50 most influential
people in fundraising, as voted for by the magazine’s readers. Top of the list once
again was Joe Saxton, chair of the Institute of Fundraising. UK Fundraising’s Howard
Lake made it to number 11.
Joe Saxton retains his top position, the first time that
the same person has retained their top position in the four years of the poll. He
is joined by 23 new entrants, attributed by the magazine to, in part, the establishment
of the Fundraising Standards Board and changes in the regulatory and government
offices.

Fundraising practitioners, including both fundraisers and consultants, are more
