One of Northern Ireland’s leading banks, the Northern, has established a community
fund worth £100,000. The money will be allocated on a geographic basis within Northern
Ireland with grants up to £5,000.
Each region — Belfast, East, North and South and
West — will have £25,000 to allocate in 2006. Grants will be between £500-£5,000,
with only one award to each group in each two year period.

All groups who are involved in knowledge, culture and recreational sports locally
can apply for support.

A steering group in each Northern Bank region will assess applications for support.
The closing date for applications is 29th September with awards distributed in November.

Applications are available from Northern Bank branches and must be endorsed by a
local branch manager.
