# Sir Digby Jones chairs new Cancer Research UK corporate fundraising initiative

Cancer Research UK has joined forces with outgoing CBI Director-General Sir Digby
Jones to develop a new Corporate Board for the charity.
Sir Digby will chair the
Corporate Board which will be made up of ‘corporate ambassadors’ from the business
sector. These senior business people will help Cancer Research UK widen its network
of contacts in the corporate world with the ultimate aim of engaging businesses 
in raising money for the charity.

The first task for Sir Digby, working in conjunction with Cancer Research UK, will
be the recruitment of the ambassadors. The ambassadors will come from a cross section
of businesses and be able to introduce the vital work of the charity to new corporate
audiences.

 

 

Sir Digby Jones has helped to raise funds for Cancer Research UK for a number of
years. In 2005 he took part in the Flora London Marathon for Cancer Research UK 
and, to-date, has raised £100,000 to help fund the charity’s research.
