The Charity Commission has appointed AS Biss to help it draw up a public affairs
strategy, following a successful tender process.
The Charity Commission selected
AS Biss after a tender process. The company will provide a strategy to enable the
Commission “to develop a more active and influential role in policy development,
public debate and in government.”

Nic Coward, Deputy Chairman of AS Biss, said: “With the Charities Bill still going
through Parliament, it’s the right time for the charitable sector’s regulator to
develop its engagement with parliamentary stakeholders for the years ahead.”

It is expected that the work will be completed by the end of November 2005.
