A raffle of botanical art for the Sri Lanka Tsunami Children Fund, an Irish charity
that so far has raised ‚€150,000 to look after the practical and educational needs
of children who have lost one or both parents, has been launched. The charity was
set up by Dr Mary Toomey.
The prizes are a much sought after set of four signed
prints of hellebores by Wendy Walsh and an original signed and framed Walsh watercolour.
Mary Toomey is appealing to members of gardening societies and clubs around the
country to assist her in drawing attention to the raffle.

People are being asked to sell lines at ‚€10 each which will be entered in the draw
on 25th November. Closing date for return of cheques and lines is 21st November.
