# Diabetes UK bags some corporate support

Diabetes UK’s logo is to be printed on Alliance Pharmacy prescription bags until
December 2005. The bags will be used for people collecting their insulin prescriptions
throughout the UK as a way of raising awareness of the charity and the condition.

Alliance Pharmacy, who chose Diabetes UK to be their charity of the year earlier
this year, expects to distribute approximately 150,000 bags in total.

Roger Cotton, Senior Manager Corporate Social Responsibility at Alliance Pharmacy
said, “We will be issuing around 25,000 bags per month to our patients with diabetes
and the logo will be seen by them and their families and carers. Some of our customers
are already familiar with the charity but not all, so this is an ideal opportunity
for Diabetes UK to reach out to their target audience in the hope of extending their
support.”
