Peter McDonagh, a former director of British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS),
has been elected chairman of the British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF). He
succeeds Sir John Wall, who has held the post for 14 years.
Mr McDonagh has been
a trustee of BWBF for 12 years. During his nine-year period as director of radio
and television at BFBS, Mr McDonagh helped ensure the future of the Fund with nearly
£1 million raised from annual appeals.

The Chatham-based charity issues specially adapted radios and specially deisgned
CD radio cassette recorders to blind and partially-sighted people in need via more
than 300 agents throughout the UK.
