# Diabetes UK launch magenta wristbands

Diabetes UK has launched a magenta

wristband to raise funds for the charity.
The charity has ordered 35,000 wristbands
which will retail at £1 each and be available in adult and child sizes. The

bands will feature the slogan “A future without diabetes” and the Diabetes

Douglas Smallwood, Chief Executive of Diabetes UK, said: “This is the first

time that Diabetes UK have sold wristbands to raise money and we hope it will be
a huge success.”

Bands will be available to buy through the charity’s website, from its main London
office, and via its customer services telephone line.
