**Voluntary Sector magazine has unveiled a new look, including a regular column
by The Guardian’s Polly Toynbee, at a launch held at the [National Council for Voluntary Organisations](http://www.ncvo-vol.org.uk)(
NCVO) this afternoon. Speaking at the launch, editor Amanda Moss said: “Voluntary
Sector is published by the sector, for the sector. Any income we earn is ploughed
back into the voluntary and community sector through the work of NCVO. The new look
has been designed following ideas and feedback generated through our reader surveys”.**

The new look Voluntary Sector features more in-depth analysis; a new legal and regulatory
page; re-purposed news pages, which provide a monthly round up from the sector;
regular columnists; plus lighthearted additions such as a crossword and cartoon.

The March 2005 issue – the first in the new format – features U2 frontman Bono,
outlining his part in the campaign to bring an end to world debt; the three major
political parties explaining what they can offer the sector; interviews with the
Disaster Emergency Committee’s (DEC) Brendan Gormley and Futurebuilders’ Richard
Gutch; plus an exploration of recent research by Birmingham University on the thorny
issue of full cost recovery for public services.
