BT is donating 5p for every call to its directory enquiry service made between 28
February and 13 March 2005 up to a maximum of £250,000.
Callers to the BT 118 500
will hear a welcome message recorded by comedians Lenny Henry and Alistair McGowan.
BT will donate 5p per call to Comic Relief.

This isn’t the first time that a BT telephone service has generated income for Comic
Relief. For Red Nose Day 2003 the communications company let Lenny Henry become
the voice of the Speaking Clock for a fortnight. More than 4.5 million people dialled
123 to hear the comedian tell them the time “at the third stroke…”, raising £200,000.
