As the 10th Comic Relief event gets nearer, and its fundraising activities increasingly
dominate media reports, it is worth remembering that the charity is also a major
grant-making organisation.
One of Comic Relief’s smaller grants programmes is The
Small Grants Fund for Gypsy & Traveller Projects, which applies throughout the UK.

Groups are invited to apply for funding from this fund which is aimed at helping
to set up Gypsy and Traveller groups at a local level to address many of the social
problems faced by these groups. Grants of £3,000 are available to help with the
running costs including office and administration expenses, such as telephone, rent,
insurance and heat and light; stationery and printing; sessional worker and volunteer
costs; travel costs; computer and equipment costs; consultancy costs; and other
costs of running a project.

Applications can be made at any time.
