The decision was based on responses from Deloitte’s 10,000 UK employees, who all
had an opportunity to nominate a charity for consideration. Over 100 different charities
were put forward. A shortlist of ten charities was then drawn up by a committee
and employees invited to voted for their favourite.

Martin Scicluna, UK Chairman of Deloitte, said: “Through our fundraising and payroll
giving we will be supporting [our charity partners’] vital work in addressing two
of the UK’s major health challenges.”

The previous beneficiaries of a two-year partnership with Deloitte were ChildLine
and Marie Curie Cancer Care, for whom the company which raised more than £0.5 million.
