# Weizmann Institute Foundation rebrands as Weizmann UK

The new name, Weizmann UK, reflects the fact that the organisation is part of a 
global network, supporting the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.
This is 
the first time the charity’s name has been changed in the 54 years since the Weizmann
Institute Foundation was established in the UK.

Sheridan Gould, Executive Director of Weizmann UK, explained the new brand: “We 
believe that the new look reflects the fact that we support one of the world’s leading
multi-disciplinary research institutes.”

The rebranding includes a new strap line, “brain powering the world”, referring 
to a quote from the late Chaim Weizmann.
