Jarrod Bachelor, a patron of the trust, said: “I remember being bullied at school

because I was gay and I wanted this money to go to AKT as they support young gay
people at a time in their lives when they need it most”.

In April 2004 Mr Bachelor took part in Channel 4’s ‘The Games’, a reality TV series
in which celebrities competed in 14 sporting disciplines.

The money will be used to kick start funding for a carer/mentor programme.
