**Two charities based in Gloucestershire have decided to end their joint fundraising
activities after they yielded poor results.**

Cotswold Care Hospice in Minchinhampton and Winston’s Wish set up Gloucestershire
Gold Lottery, which offered weekly cash prizes between £5 and £1000 for a £1 ticket.
However, the last draw will take place on 11 June 2004 due to “unsatisfactory” financial
results, according to the BBC.

<>The local lottery had benefited from radio coverage on Severn Sound FM and regular
press coverage.
