**The click-to-give online fundraising site aquaplastics.org has reached its target
of 1.5 million clicks seven weeks ahead of schedule, generated a donation of ‚€150,000
for WaterAid for the second year running.**

As in 2003, the website was launched on 22 March by the Association of Plastics
Manufacturers in Europe (APME), in conjunction with WaterAid, to coincide with the
United Nations’ World Water Day. For every click received, APME donated 10 cents
to WaterAid.

Money from the site will be put towards several projects in Africa, including the
provision of clean water, sanitation and hygiene education in Madagascar and Malawi.
